Hi! I’m Tommy (they/he)

Founding Organizer

& Care Coach

I have a passion for helping people navigate mental, emotional, and spiritual roadblocks by developing grounding practices centered in community care that foster co-creation and resiliency in the face of adversity and resistance. I work with organizations to facilitate cultural shifts that are people-centered and compassion oriented, breaking down what it means to be in authentic service of self and communities.

I’m also trained in Emergent Strategy Facilitation and as a Spiritual Care Guide by the Mystic Soul Project Spirit School. In the work of uncovering purpose and belonging, these tools continue to aid me in how I show up to our collaboration together. I am joyfully reclaiming my lineage that respects the lessons we learn from nature, that we model our systems after our co-laborers in nature (ie: Flying, flocking, Co-dependent structures), and that how our bodies process and respond to information and stimulus shapes the quality and function of our individual lives, organizations, and communities. This leads leads my practice and approach- That we invite not just modern ways of knowing and scientific thinking, but that we expand and open ourselves and our senses to the multiplicity of knowing that exist all around us. My facilitation style is also in the lineage of circle practice.

Utilizing various philosophies and theory, our team will introduce you to a tools that aid in identify problems and opportunities with clients that enables us to care for them competently and compassionately.

Foundationally, we start from theory rooted in my training as a Critical Care Registered Nurse; the Nursing Process.

The Nursing Process functions as a systematic guide to client (patient)-centered care with 5 sequential and cyclical steps. These are assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Why this approach?

After a traumatic event that necessitates medical care, you’d typically see the medical staff perform various interventions to maintain balance (homeostasis) in the body as it heals. To do this, we must discover, acknowledge, and engage the injury. In fact some trauma requires extensive rehabilitation and the effects can last for years. This applies even more so to the unseen emotional, mental, and/or spiritual trauma that we all experience in our lives.

A note on Trauma. We speak opening about Trauma in our work and feel it’s important to name that trauma isn’t necessarily what happens to us, but rather how our bodies respond to what’s happened. This has profound implications for how our organizations functions, how we lead, and the capacity our communities have to remain in the practice of supportive care. Often due to the ways we are socialized, we may not even know trauma is there let alone that it's holding us back.

Is there repair work in your organization that needs to be uncovered? We are here to guide you through the process of becoming better human to one another.

“There is always enough time for the right work. There is a conversation in the room that only these people at this moment can have. Find it.”

-Adrienne Maree Brown, Founder of Emergent Strategies and Ideation Institute

We also come equipped with a variety of analytical tools (Enneagram, Strengthsfinder, Working Genius and more. . .) across a broad spectrum of purposes to help assess growth and discovery. This is why we say that we personalize each relationship according to need.

When you work with our team you’re also getting the benefit of working with a group of practitioners living into deep wells of embodied wisdom. We are a diverse team holding numerous historically marginalized identities.

Simply put, we are up for the challenge of holding change with you.

Hi! I’m Chantilly (she/her)

Equity Consultant

+

Circle Keeper

Grace and Peace!

I am Rev. Chantilly Mers. I am grateful you stopped by!

For the past fifteen or more years, I have served and loved the Church as a community pastor, music and song leader, faith and justice educator, activist, retreat leader, and equity consultant. My roles have allowed me to design and create sacred spaces, to build bridges, and animate conversations that groups, churches, and organizations otherwise would not have.

Of all the roles I have held, I am at heart a keeper and practitioner of Circle, an Indigenous and ancient pattern that has held communities for generations.

I am passionate about the ways we as kin gather to speak and listen with wide open hearts. In a fracturing society, many living at the edge of eco-devastation and isolation, I am passionate about re-membering in our bodies and bones what it feels like to belong to one another and the Earth.

This practice of radical togetherness in the belly of systems and structures that harm and exclude, is to awaken what is ancient in all of us - our innate kinship and communal identity - that to me is the hope of the “kin-dom of God.”

I hope you might join me.
